At Benchmark Event Services, we were proud to recently support a standout installation at the historic Philadelphia Cricket Club for the American Platform Tennis Association Nationals. This premier racquet sports championship brought together top-level competition and spectatorship, requiring a custom-built seating solution that matched both the scale and sophistication of the event.
Custom Bleacher Build Around a Championship Court
For this project, our team designed and installed custom elevated bleachers wrapped around the club’s fenced main platform tennis court, creating an immersive viewing experience for fans while maintaining clear sightlines to every point of play. The design included integrated entrance platforms, multiple stair access points, and full safety railing systems to ensure smooth crowd movement and secure seating throughout the event.
A key challenge of this installation was building around the court’s existing lighting poles. Our crew carefully adapted the bleacher layout to fit within these constraints without compromising structural integrity, visibility, or safety. The result was a seamless fit that preserved the functionality of the venue while maximizing spectator capacity.
To complete the event environment, we also supported surrounding hospitality areas with food tents and service space, helping create a complete and comfortable experience for athletes, officials, and fans alike.
